Creating Medicine From Herbs You Grow
Healthy soil means healthy plants means healthy people
May 15, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Are you curious about growing your own medicinal herbs? This class will include discussions about soil and fertility, as well as planting and harvesting, related to eight medicinal plants. You will learn how to make and use herbal extracts and oils. We will also talk about using these eight herbs in herbal recipes that are beneficial to your health.
Here are the eight plants we will focus on:
•Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil)
•Milky Oat Seed
If you wish to, you can purchase some of these plants from Red Clover Herbal Apothecary Farm the night of the class and others from Dragonfly Gardens just down the road.
INSTRUCTOR Nancy Graden is an herbalist, herb farmer, and plant medicine maker. After immersing herself in the study of “Western Clinical Herbalism,” a deep reverence for the intelligence of plants and the part their gifts play in our health and wellbeing evolved. Red Clover Herbal Apothecary Farm, now in its seventh year, was born out of this understanding.
The farm strives to work with nature, not against it, by building healthy soils that produce healthy plants that contribute to the health of people. Red Clover Herbal Apothecary Farm is certified organic, growing and wild-harvesting over 60 different kinds of medicinal and culinary herbs.
