Join Darrold & Marty Glanville from Sunrise Flour Mill as they share with us how to bake with sourdough starter. The goal of this class is to give you the confidence to start baking healthy sourdough bread. Learn why sourdough bread is good for you, how to make a basic loaf, how to bake in a cast iron skillet, and how to maintain sourdough starter in your home. You will establish a bread schedule that works for your lifestyle, and connect with other bakers in community that share your passion for bread foods. Each person will take home a loaf of sourdough, a bit of starter from Sunrise Flour Mill, and a complementary bag of Sunrise Flour Mill’s heritage grain flour. This is a hands-on class that will get your hands into the dough so dress appropriately. Class time is 2-3 hours.
