Landscaping with Native Plants
June 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
, Free – $35
Native plants provide food and habitat for pollinators, improve soil health, and can be just as beautiful as bedding plants! Choosing the right perennial plants can also create landscaping that persists year after year with a little bit of annual maintenance. This class will explore the basics of landscape design, cover a bit about different native plant collections, and help you pick plants for your unique space. We will also touch on specific styles of native landscaping including pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and edible landscaping.
Robyn Lehman has always loved to help people pick out plants. She has a degree in horticulture and has worked at Dragonfly Gardens in Amery for the last 10 years –giving her hands-on growing, planting, and customer service experience.
Robyn is now working part-time at Dragonfly in order to have more time with her two young children–she still finds ways to get more green in people’s landscapes by posting on social media, answering plant questions, and assisting customers at the greenhouse.
Perennials are her favorite thing to plant; her dream landscape would have one of everything!
