Lunch & Learn: Calzone & Stromboli

“Lunch & Learn” is one of our more popular classes, partly because one of our best, Terry Kelzer, teaches them! Join us as Terry weaves local seasonal food and cooking techniques with tradition and stories to create the richest of fare… which you then get to eat. You’ll connect with your community, enjoy a delicious lunch, and leave with the day’s recipes.
During this class we will explore the world of made-from-scratch Calzone and Stromboli, both traditional and vegetarian varieties! Calzone is a half-moon shaped turnover of pizza dough filled with herbed ricotta and other delicious things with sauce on the side. Stromboli is more tube-like in shape and is filled with mozzarella and often pepperoni, with a richly seasoned sauce inside.
