Nature Illustration Workshop: Fish Scales & Shine

August 18, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
, $40.00

Would you like to learn how to illustrate what you see in Nature? Sarah Nelson’s workshops are an introduction to pen and marker nature illustration techniques evident in the style of her Natural Heritage Project solo exhibit, “Inopia” at Farm Table Foundation. Maybe you are already an illustrator looking for a community, or you’re in need a reason to allow time for drawing? The Nature Illustration workshop is an excellent opportunity for all skill levels to enjoy nature, community and a love for drawing.

Each participant will learn to mix and blend markers to improve shading, and establish a solid understanding of fine art pens with the purpose of creating texture and vibrancy found in the scales and natural shine of fish. You will be guided through step-by-step so have no fear! Each of you will conclude the workshop having created a finished illustration. This class is appropriate for ages 8 and up and class fees include materials.

If we are graced with excellent weather the workshop will be held outside at the Hungry Turtle Farm, just a few miles from Farm Table Foundation. Please check your email for updates on location.
