The immune system is one of the body’s most complex; keeping our immune system healthy and supported involves a dynamic set of considerations. Understanding the many things we can do to stay healthy, including using the plants that grow around us, is as important now as it has ever been.
Both our recent and distant ancestors used herbs as medicine, for both daily and acute health concerns; we can easily re-integrate these simple and natural elements into our health practices today.
In this session, we will cover some of the basic understandings about the immune system and how it functions and talk about some common herbs and how they specifically work to effectively support health and boost immunity, including: elderberry/elderflower, echinacea, astragalus, boneset, yarrow, and many common culinary herbs like garlic, ginger, thyme, and oregano. Join us for an evening of learning about common plant allies in supporting our immunity!
