Seed Production – Level 1

Come learn the basics on how to grow easy seed crops to exchange with neighbors and other growers in your region. We will cover the main steps for growing seed crops like tomatoes, beans, greens, flowers and herbs from sourcing to harvesting the seed. This class is for anyone interested, especially those growers, both gardeners and farmers who would like to produce seed crops for the Seed Initiative.
Instructor: Koby Jeschkeit-Hagen, Founder of Seed Sages, provides seed sovereignty, saving and production training to neighborhood groups, gardeners, youth groups and farmers alike. She has experience at numerous seed growing operations like Seeds of Change & Seed Savers Exchange, as well as a masters in Regional Planning and Regenerating Local Seed Systems.
