Foraged Fruits and Their Use with Gil Schwartz

In this class we will discover, taste, and prepare some of the best wild fruits and berries that Wisconsin has to offer during the fall season. From tangy and sweet highbush cranberries, hawthorne, nannyberries, and wild grapes. In the first part of the class we will venture outside and identify the wild fruits growing right around the Farm Table Foundation and learn about responsible harvesting. In the classroom, we will taste various wild fruits raw as well as fruits processed into drinks, sauces, and more.
